Styles we cut most

Skin fade
Down to the skin at the sides, blended up into length on top. The most asked-for cut in JVC, and it holds its shape for about three weeks.

Mid fade
The fade starts at the temple rather than the skin, so it grows out more softly. Good if you are between barbers or hate the two-week regrowth line.

Textured crop
Short, choppy length on top pushed forward, tight sides. Works with thick or coarse hair and needs almost no product.

Pompadour
Length on top blow-dried up and back, tapered sides. Needs a few minutes of styling each morning and a matte clay or wax.

Buzz cut
One length all over with a clean fade at the edges. Ten minutes in the chair, zero maintenance, and it suits more head shapes than people expect.

Curly cut
Cut to the curl pattern rather than against it, so the shape holds when the hair is dry. Say if you want the sides faded or left with weight.

A skin fade blended straight into a shaped beard, so there is no step between the two. Haircut and beard together.

A tighter taper at the neck and ears with the beard lined up to match. Cleaner than a full fade for an office.

Length on top combed straight back with a taper at the sides. Sits neatly for an office and needs only a light pomade.

What is the most popular men’s hairstyle in JVC right now?
The skin fade with length on top, either as a textured crop or a quiff. The buzz cut with a fade is a close second in summer.
Do you cut fades?
Yes. Low, mid and high skin fades, tapers and drop fades, finished with a razor line up. It is most of what we do.
Can I bring a photo?
Please do. A photo of the cut you want, plus a look at your hair, tells the barber more than any description. He will say honestly if your hair will not do it.
How much is a haircut?
AED 60 for any style on this page. AED 50 for under twelves, AED 100 with a beard trim.
How often should I get a fade cut?
Every two to three weeks to keep it sharp. A line up in between is AED 30 if you want the edges clean without a full cut.
Do you style the hair after the cut?
Every cut is washed, dried and styled with product before you leave, so you see the finished shape, not just the length.
Do you cut short hair?
Most of what we cut is short. Buzz cuts, textured crops, tapers and skin fades are all short styles, and a short back and sides with a little length on top is the most common ask in the shop. AED 60 for any of them.
Do I need to book?
No. Walk in any day between nine and midnight. Thursday and Friday evenings are busiest, so message first if that is when you are coming.
